Traditional tea-grass integrated system
Grass, specifically pampas grass found in the semi-natural grasslands (Chagusaba) surrounding the gardens, is reaped and laid out in the tea gardens during autumn and winter.
The active use of this grass is indispensable to local tea production because it enriches the soil and helps prevent soil erosion.
